The National Trade Union Confederation “Cartel Alfa” protesting against the Finance Ministry, in Bucharest. The protest is organized by branches from Ilfov and Maramures, following the Ministry of Finance decision to lay off all personal assistants.

National Arena

National Arena opened its doors to the public on Saturday, August 6th. Almost 100,000 curious came to see the largest stadium in Romania, that will open officially on September 6, to host the match between Romania and France.

Alexandru Tocilescu

Director Alexandru Tocilescu awarded a star on Walk of Fame, anticipating his 65th anniversary. A sixth star in the alley of celebrities is awarded to director Alexandru Tocilescu. Keeping company to the director during such an important event were actors Ion Besoiu, Stela Popescu, Valentin Uritescu and Ileana Stana Ionescu.

Basarab Flyover

Donate blood. Save lives!

In February this year, the Bucharest Youth Organisation of the Democrat Liberal Party (PDL) initiated the campaign “Donate blood. Save lives!”. Already in the second edition, the purpose of the campaign is to raise awareness regarding the importance of blood donation, especially amongst the young people.
