When I was proposed to be part of the team that will meet “ The brilliant children of Romania” I didn’t expect to meet a boy so smart for his young age. Half of his room is full of encyclopedias and history books, some bigger...  Officially known as Saint Marcellin Champagne Placement Center, this is the home for 33 children and the family of heart for the director. The center’s mission is to offer child protection and education services, to foster family integration and to strive for integration in the society.  Serb Elena has been a school teacher in Iepuresti village for the last 18 years. She sometimes has to walk 3km to go to school, because she lives in the neighboring village. Since the number of children enrolled in her school is too low, there are times she teaches two grades in the same classroom...  Sighet Memorial is a world in itself dedicated to the struggle against communism. It is a unique monument that praises the fight against oppressors, so that the history will not be forgotten, will not be repeated. Few things can come close to its emotional power. (Thomas S.
