The BRD Nastase Tiriac Trophy reached its male competition finale with the victory of German player Florian Mayer. Mayer defeated Pablo Andujar, score 6-3; 6-1, winning the first tournament of his career.

Category Archives: Editorial 60 prisoners from the Jilava prison will work for 20 days at Fundeni Clinic Institute, cleaning the courtyard and garden. The initiative belongs to Mrs. Carmen Orban, director of the Fundeni Clinic Institute (ICF). The institute will pay Jilava penitentiary the amount of 480 million lei.  The National Trade Union Confederation “Cartel Alfa” protesting against the Finance Ministry, in Bucharest. The protest is organized by branches from Ilfov and Maramures, following the Ministry of Finance decision to lay off all personal assistants.  National Arena opened its doors to the public on Saturday, August 6th. Almost 100,000 curious came to see the largest stadium in Romania, that will open officially on September 6, to host the match between Romania and France.  Sighisoara, the only inhabited medieval town in Europe, organized the nineteenth edition of the Festival of Medieval Art. Thousands of visitors come each year to discover the medieval age as pictured in medieval music and theater shows. |
